Calemard is a French company specialised in the designing and manufacturing of in-line and off-line slitting and rewinding machines, spooling equipment and cutting technologies (cold cutting, hot cutting and ultrasonic cutting with Decoup+, its sister company).

Slitting and rewinding machines

Calemard has been manufacturing slitter/rewinder for 50 years. The company manufactured its first machines to answer the local demand for ribbons web slitters.
Calemard has since expanded its activities and developed a complete range of accurate and reliable slitters / rewinders for the most demanding markets.

Spooling lines

Originally focused on narrow web slitting, the company has expanded its knowledge in traverse winding technology.
As an alternative to the use of pancakes, spooling technology is the solution that enables 10 times more product to be rewound than a pancake, and that offers a stable package of narrow products.
Calemard has been designing and manufacturing traverse equipment for more than 20 years, and is now one of the few expert companies in this field of machinery.
Our traverse winders are spooling foam, adhesive tapes, rubber strips, nonwovens and many other materials widely used in the automotive, tire, hygiene, building industries… and many others.

Slitting technologies

Calemard has reached strong market positions thanks to a deep know-how in slitting technologies. Calemard has a proven expertise in crush, shear and razor blades slitting systems, and also in sealing / cutting technologies (hot cutting and ultrasonic cutting through Decoup+, Calemard's sister company)
